Cory Bryson Crile, 46, of Aurora, Colorado, died Monday, March 11, 2024, at his home. He was born October 8, 1977, in Washington, Iowa, the son of Patricia Dowis Crile and Tonnie Crile. He graduated from Washington High School in 1996.
Cory loved taking care of his girls: wife, Emily and daughters Lucy and Carly. He promised to hold them when they were sick, to help them find solace when they were sad, and to help them find the song they could not find. He wanted to find color in the world when it all goes gray, to help them dance when the music stopped and to feel loved when they felt hopeless. He supported them in all of their choices and offered them guidance when they asked for it. He always accepted them for who they are and loved them.
His girls said Cory was a human encyclopedia. He loved to learn, to play games, to write and create music. He enjoyed writing, cooking and baking, rock and grunge music, and hockey. He was a Colorado Avalanche fan. He loved polar bears and crows. His long-time dream of scuba diving was fulfilled in the summer of 2023, in Cancun, Mexico. He loved the water. He also loved playing video games. Cory was a frequent volunteer for his church, Calvary Baptist Church of Denver.
Cory is survived by his wife, Emily Crile; his daughters, Lucy, 17, and Carly, 15; his parents; one brother, Tim Crile of Marion, Iowa; one sister, Jill Newhouse of Marion, Iowa; several nieces and nephews; and aunts and uncles.
A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday May 4, 2024 at 2:00pm, at Calvary Baptist Church of Denver. Interment Service will be privately held.
