Coral Jean Tedford

Coral Jean Tedford passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at her home in Golden, Colorado, at the age of 94. Her long life was marked by faith, love, and spiritual devotion.

Born on April 19, 1932, in Mattoon, Illinois, Coral was the daughter of Albert E. and Hazel A. (Wright) Goodson. Throughout her childhood, along with her parents and two sisters, her family moved to various cities across the western United States before finally settling in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, in 1950.

In 1952, Coral married the love of her life, Milton Calvin “Ted” Tedford. Together, they built a life centered on family, hard work, and shared dreams. They raised their two sons in Wheat Ridge and later fulfilled a longtime goal by building their dream home in the mountains of Gilpin County—a place that brought them great joy and peace.

Coral was a deeply spiritual person who believed in the interconnected energy and frequency of all living things. Meditation was an important part of her daily life, and for more than 50 years, she maintained a devoted meditation practice that reflected her commitment to inner growth, peace, understanding, and God.

Coral was preceded in death by her parents, her wonderful husband Ted, and her sister Dolores Hooper.

Coral, affectionately known as "Grandmother," leaves behind her sons, Gary (Nancy) Tedford of Wheat Ridge and Todd (Mary) Tedford of Denver; her grandchildren, Michelle (Shaun) Silliman of Wheat Ridge, Grant Tedford of Littleton, Ben (Jaime) Tedford of Windsor, and Maddie (Chace) Griffin of Littleton; and her seven great-grandchildren, Everett, Addison, Mackenzie, Sophia, Connor, Evelyn, and Rory.

She is also survived by her sister, Wanda Sang of Wheat Ridge, along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who were an important part of her extended family.

Though she will be greatly missed, her family finds comfort in her memories, the values she shared, and the love she leaves behind.
