Constance Potter Cole, 91 years old, died at home after a short illness, with her faithful dog Winnie at her side. Connie grew up in Tulsa OK and Houston TX. After attending West Texas Woman's College she worked as a stewardess for Pioneer Airlines. During a layover in Midland, TX she met Tom Cole, the love of her life. She and Tom married & lived in Midland for the next 21 years, they then moved to California (Fresno and LaJolla, 8 years). Finally they moved to Colorado and Littleton/Centennial was home for the next 37 yrs. Connie was a wonderful mother and role model, engaging friend, accomplished interior designer, talented artist & imaginative gardener. Skiing was a lifelong passion Connie & Tom shared, especially deep powder in Aspen, Alta, the Bugaboos and the Ruby Mountains. She and Tom generously shared this passion with their children & grandchildren. Connie always had a great attitude and ability to stylishly adapt to new towns, houses, friends & adventures. She was a gracious hostess to all and loved to dance, she was not shy about being the first one on the dance floor, right into her 90's. Tom and Connie were married for 67 wonderful years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Cole, son Matthew T. Cole, sister Patricia Redmond, and brother, Col. John P. Potter. Connie will be greatly missed by son Jess P. Cole (Chris) of Ft. Worth, TX, son John A. Cole (Hutton) of New Canaan CT, and daughter Kathryn A. Cole (Harry Young) of Denver. Granny Connie leaves 6 adoring grandchildren who benefitted from her interest and support in their various endeavors, her willingness to take them camping, prepare each a favorite meal, and most importantly, her general sense of fun. She leaves 4 great granddaughters, evenly split between Texas and Connecticut. The family would like to thank Lorrayne Tucker, Diana Kamezire and Denver Hospice for the loving respectful care they always gave Connie.
