Colleen Moore Jones

Woman of grace. Woman of kindness. Woman of holiness.

Colleen Moore Jones passed away from this mortal life on March 31, 2023, after prolonged complications from a stroke.

She was a dutiful daughter, a supportive sister, a caring aunt, a forgiving friend, and a loving wife. Importantly, she was a valiant mother and grandmother.

Colleen was raised by loving parents, Thomas Harvey Moore and Fay Billings in Ely, Nevada. As a young adult, she studied at Brigham Young University. She worked professionally as an office administrator, and after meeting and marrying William R. Jones (deceased 2007) chose a career as a homemaker.

Together, they raised five children, Scott (Elizabeth), Michael (Kay), Kelley (Steve Grubin), David (Ann), and Kristi (Eric Anderson), and loved 30 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was a woman of deep faith. She was a woman of pleading prayers. She was a woman of striving and service. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a leader, teacher, and example throughout her life. She was especially grateful to serve as a full-time missionary in the Colorado Denver North Mission and the Illinois Nauvoo Mission. This service refined her already Christlike character.

She was true as steel to every trust.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 8, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at 12995 W. 72nd Ave. Arvada, CO. Those wishing to participate virtually may use the following link: https://bxcited.com/colleen-jones/

Friends and family will be received just before the services from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.

She will be buried next to her husband on Monday, April 10, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Golden City Cemetery,
