Colleen was born in New York City to Darlene and Land Viera. Colleen moved to Denver, Colorado in December, 1977. She lived at the Children's Asthma Hospital for almost a year. She attended Patterson Elementary and O'Connell Junior High in Lakewood, Colorado. She graduated from Alameda High School in 1988. Colleen attended Arapahoe Community College in 2011, taking general studies to improve herself. Colleen would like people to know she is kind and caring. She loved animals, especially her two cats - 'Ramona' and 'Keats'. Colleen enjoyed going to movies, plays, the gym and the beauty salon. She was trying to be more computer literate. Her favorite thing was collecting Depression Glass. If Colleen had been able to attend college, she would have studied interior design. Colleen had a successful kidney transplant on February 7, 2007. Colleen died on December 31, 2014 at University Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado after being ill for almost three weeks. Colleen is survived by her mother Darlene M. Taylor; step-father Raymond J. Taylor; loving brother and family Eric, Kim, Max and Sophia Viera. She is also survived by some very special friends: Mary Douglass, Mary Flanagan, Nan Lawton and Preston Gross.
