Colleen Mae Urban

Colleen Mae Urban, age 94, passed peacefully in her sleep on Oct. 23 2024. Colleen was the beloved wife of Eugene (Gene) Urban (deceased), mother to Debra, Steve (deceased) and Gerry (married to Monique) and two grandchildren, Jessica Viskil (married to Roelof) and Cory.

Colleen grew up in Midwest farm country and later chose nursing as her profession. She received her degree in 1952 and enlisted in the Navy because she wanted to see the world but met Gene shortly after and married in 1953. She continued part-time nursing after her children were born and became an artist. She was very involved in the artist community for many years. She loved to travel and joined Ports of Call where she and her family went on many trips. They moved to Austin Texas after Gene retired, but found they preferred Tucson, Arizona where they lived for several years. They ultimately moved back to Colorado to spend more time with their children and grandchildren.

 She was much loved and will be sorely missed.

A Memorial Service honoring Colleen will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 2:00PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.  A reception will immediately follow.
