Clayton D. Carr, 84, of Parker, Colorado, passed away February 18, 2021. He was born December 1, 1936 in Lander, Wyoming to Elwyn and Geraldine Carr.
In his High School years, Clayton worked with his Uncles on their ranch in Lander, Wyoming. His fondest memories were the cattle drives. Clayton graduated from Midwest High School and got an associate degree from Casper College. He and his family moved to Colorado in 1963. He worked for Chevron Oil as a manager training new station dealers. He then worked for Texaco and bought a Texaco service station in 1970 and ran Clay’s Texaco with his wife, Suanne, until his retirement in 2002.
Clayton enjoyed spending time with his family going to sporting events and cheering for his favorite teams, the Broncos and the Rockies.
Clayton is survived by his children: Steve (Debbie) Carr, Wendy (Sandon) Olson, Cheryl (Bill) Futera, Pam (Mike) Golden; grandchildren: Clayton Carr, Marcus Carr (Melissa Fiancee), Sandon (Meredith) Olson, Jr., Brandy Olson (Philip), Corey Futera, Nathan (Aubray) Futera, Kendra Futera, Jason (Carrie) Golden, Heather Golden, Nichole (Chris) Avery, Renae Golden (Eric Fiance), and Makayla Golden; 12 great-grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Suanne Carr, his parents Elwyn and Geraldine Carr and sister Voda McKenzie.
A private family Funeral will be held on April 8, 2021 at 11 am. You are invited to join the Livestream via the link below.
The family intends to host a celebration of Clayton’s life for family and friends at a later date.
