Clare “John” Powers, 88, of Lakewood, CO, passed away Feb. 27, 2018, five days after his beloved wife of 68 years, Virginia “Sis” Powers. Preceded in death by Virginia; daughter Kristine; parents Charles and Alma. Survived by children Ken (Taylor) and Charlene; grandchildren Aspen (Darrin), Michael, Steven; great-grandchildren Reese and Micah. John was a retired US Navy Veteran, serving on the USS Turner (DDR 834). John’s services will be combined with Virginia’s for a Visitation on Sun. 3/4 from 2:00-4:00pm, Horan & McConaty, 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, with Vigil Service at 4:00pm. Funeral Mass Mon. 3/5 10:00am, St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, 3310 S Sherman St, Englewood. Interment to follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver.
