Obituary

Christopher James Jordan, affectionately known as Chris, was born on June 25, 1998, in Houston, Texas and passed away in the comfort of his home on the evening of April 16, 2026.

Though taken far too soon, his passion for life led him on countless adventures and earned him friends everywhere he went. Chris was happiest on the mountain, snowboarding throughout Colorado with family and friends. If snow was falling in the mountains, Chris was never far behind. When it wasn't snowing, you would find Chris on one of the many Denver golf courses.

The youngest of three siblings, Chris moved with his family to Highlands Ranch, Colorado, in 2005 where family trips and outings forged his lifelong love of the outdoors. In addition to snowboarding, Chris enjoyed longboarding, hiking, camping and attending concerts at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Many evenings Chris would seek out a rocky vantage point just in time to catch Colorado’s spectacular sunsets.

An active athlete in his youth, Chris played soccer, baseball, basketball, and went on to play high school football, and lacrosse.

After graduating from Rock Canyon High School in 2016, he pursued various passions, especially music. Chris loved working with his hands and building things, and his entrepreneurial spirit ultimately led him to start his own handyman business.

Chris was preceded in death by those waiting to welcome him into heaven: his maternal grandparents, John and Grace Golden; step-grandmother, Mildred Golden; paternal grandfather, James Jordan; and his cousin, Tyler Foley. He is survived by his loving parents, Steve and Judy Jordan; sister, Megan Jordan (fiancé, Andrew Weaver), brother, Nathan (Elena) Jordan; his beloved nephews, Stone Jordan and Maverick Mounteer; his grandmother, Marky Jordan; his aunts and uncles, Laura Jordan, Elizabeth (Mark) Achorn, David (Daniela) Golden, and Gretchen (Keith) Foley; and his cousins Kendall (Chad) Henderson, Rachel (Ryan) McKenna, Suzie Achorn, Travis (Alex) Achorn, and Kylie (Brody) Benge.

A friend to everyone, Chris will always be remembered for his kindness and spirited personality. His good-hearted nature and quick wit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Friends are cordially invited to join the family for a viewing at 2:30 PM with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 3:00 at Free, 2122 S. Lafayette Street, Denver, CO 80210. A reception hosted by the family will follow at Free Cafe.

Flowers may be sent to Free on the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Free at https://www.freerecoverycommunity.com/give.
