Christine Sutton

Christine Gaye Sutton “Chris” went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2026, in Lone Tree, Colorado. She was born on August 6, 1949, in Sidney, New York to Donald and Ramona Rickard. Chris lived a fulfilling life as a wife, sister, aunt, friend and tireless co-worker. She enjoyed knitting, Sudoku and her online games. Chris also loved sports and her adored Anaheim Angels, which were a source of both joy and frustration. She will forever be remembered for her gift of hospitality and feisty personality, living life her way.

Chris is survived by her brothers Donald (Sandy) Rickard and Devin (Carrol) Rickard, half-brothers Michael Rickard and Patrick (Jenny) Rickard, and stepbrother Jeff (Leticia) Van Pelt. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Thank you to all who knew and loved Chris. Your prayers and support have helped us greatly. Please join the family as we remember our beloved Chris. An informal Celebration of Life ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 18 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Southridge Recreation Center, Backcountry Auditorium, 4800 McArthur Ranch Rd, Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Dress will be casual, because Chris wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. A light lunch will be served.
