Christine Mary Baker

Christine (Mary) Baker, age 77, reposed in her home on September 7th 2026, in Littleton CO. She is survived by two sons Shane and Stephen Ryals, and five grandchildren, and her husband Garry (Herman) Baker. They were married 51+ years. 

Christine worked as a RN for 45 years in the Denver metro area. She received a “Master Gardener Certificate” from CSU and “healed” many plant ailments from neighbors and co-workers.

Christine (Mary) and Garry (Herman), with their granddaughter Kira Naes, were baptized into the Orthodox Church at St. Herman Orthodox Church, in Littleton CO in 2008. (Mary&Herman) are their baptismal names. Her ministries included: “The Flower Ministry”, baking the Holy Communion Prosphora bread. 

She was the first “GAP” ministry associated with Love INC (Love In The Name of Christ) an ecumenical organization for the poor.Christine’s ministry is called “Dipes and Wipes” providing diapers and wipes for single mothers and families who cannot afford such costly items. They distribute once per month and information can found through the Love INC website. 

A vigil will take place overnight on Monday September 14, 2026 starting at 6pm at St. Herman Orthodox Church (991 W Prentice Ave, Littleton, CO 80120) A funeral mass will take place the following morning at 10:00am. Once services have concluded, we will be have an escorted procession to Fort Logan National Cemetery, the shelter service will begin at 12:30. The family welcomes everyone to a Mercy Meal at St. Herman at 1:00.
