Christina M. Jongeneel

Christina M. Jongeneel, 41, passed away on February 6, 2015 following a 5 year struggle with breast cancer. She was born September 3, 1973 in Lewiston, Idaho to Barbara and Alan Jongeneel. Tina is survived by her parents, her brother Scott, and a large extended family. Tina was a wonderful and sensitive young woman whose first love was music. She graduated from TCU with a degree in Piano Pedagogy with honors in 1996. Upon graduation she taught private piano lessons for many years. More recently she obtained her teaching certificate from the Metro College of Denver. She was a substitute teacher for grades K through 5 in Cherry Creek and Douglas County School Districts. Tina also loved books and was an avid reader - nearly 100 books every year. She volunteered at the Dumb Friends League in Castle Rock, CO in the Kitty Care area. Tina was dearly loved, brought joy to everyone and will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tina's honor to the Dumb Friends League in Castle Rock, CO or the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
