Christopher Wiggs, 60, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away at his home on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Born on August 19th1965, Chris was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, in-law, friend, and a pillar of strength and kindness to all who knew him. He was an unbelievable football player, from youth to college, and continued his passion for sports throughout his life. As a coach, he shaped the lives of so many young athletes. Championships were an expected accomplishment when Chris was coaching. Chris was an extremely skilled outdoorsman, often spending his days fly fishing or hunting. He went as far as South Africa where he started his collection of exotic animal heads that decorate the house he built for his family in Granby. He was recently featured in a famous magazine showcasing his achievements as an expert bowhunter.
Chris founded Wiggs Custom Homes, offering luxury home building and general contracting throughout Colorado. He built for over 30 years, and was considered one of the best in his line of work.
He will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Missy, his son, Riley (Bella), his daughter, Shelby, his mother in law, Michelle; his father Gene (Kathy), siblings Susan (Peter), Karen (Greg), Mark, many nieces and nephews; a large extended family, and many friends whose lives he touched with his loud, bold, compassionate, and humorous personality. Chris’s legacy of kindness and love will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
A celebration of Chris’s life will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church (830 Elm St, Denver) on Saturday February 28th at 10am followed by a reception at Christ the King. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a mental health organization or to a charity of your choice.
