Christopher A. Salazar, 63, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2026, surrounded by love.
Chris was born in Denver, Colorado, graduated from Hinkley High School in Aurora, and dedicated 42 years to United Airlines. He was proud of his Mexican and Native American heritage and served in the United States Army.
He will be remembered as a happy, kind, loving, and generous man with a great sense of humor. He had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and cared for, always ready with a smile or a laugh. Above all, he was a deeply devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother who loved his family wholeheartedly and took great pride in each of them. Compassionate and joyful, Chris loved dogs, history, architecture, playing the guitar and great music, bringing light and warmth to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lori; his children, Christopher (Joette), Matthew (Brittany), Garrett (Tara), Terra, and Noah (Heather); his 10 cherished grandchildren; his sister, Joy Torres (Gary); his sister-in-law, Lisa Lambert; and his much-loved nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Teresa and Robert, and his brother, Dennis.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
