Honored as Top Cadet he was a mentor to fellow cadets on academics and physical conditioning He was a member of the academy golf team

Attended Colorado State University

Started and later sold a successful Directional Bore Construction Company Worked for Sturgeon Electric Company at the time of his death

Chester was an avid skier from childhood and later enjoyed snowboarding. He loved golf, big game hunting and sport fishing catching a marlin off Cabo in Mexico. He fished Colorado's rivers and lakes and ice fished in the winter. He enjoyed a go cart he bought for his children and played golf with them. An avid motorcycle enthusiast he rode Honda, Yamaha and Harley Davidson cycles. Jeeps and big Dodge Ram pickups were his passion owning several of each. He had a strong work ethic and strived to be the best at his profession. Recently he became interested in astronomy and photographing distant galaxies.

Survived by children Tyler and Morgan Crawford, ex-wife Tracy Crawford, father Chester R. Crawford Jr.. Preceded in death by mother Michelle A. Collins
