Charles (Chuck) McGould was born November 1, 1933 in Mount Vernon, New York. He lived his early life in Connecticut and attended Fairfield Prep. Shortly thereafter he joined the US Air Force for four years. During that time, he was sent to Syracuse University to Russian language school. After completing his Russian course, he was sent to Japan for two years where he was a Russian translator.
When he returned to the US, he graduated from Fordham University. He started his long career with AT&T after graduation and retired as a Director of AT&T Bell Laboratories. Chuck enjoyed playing many sports among them squash, tennis, golf, and fishing. He was an avid fisherman for many years. He was captain of the Fordham squash team and MVP in his senior year. He was an active member of his church as a lector and a twenty-year member of the adult choir at Sts. Peter & Paul The Apostles Church, Bradenton, Florida.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Barbara Kuhn McGould, five children: Charles McGould, Jr., Mary Shekita (Eugene), Jean Stein, (Douglas), Michele McGould (Kian Behbakht), Sean McGould (Erin) and thirteen grandchildren, Alexa Levine (Matthew), Nathan Shekita, Theodore Stein, Sara Behbakht, Maximillian McGould. Truman Stein, Grace McGould, Kennedy Stein, Reza Behbakht, Isabelle McGould, Woodrow Stein, Roya Behbakht, and Avery McGould.
Donations may be sent in Chuck’s memory to Denver Hospice.
