Charles graduated from Mitchell High School in 1993 where he was active on the wrestling team. Upon graduation, Charlie enlisted in the United States Air Force. He received training as a computer systems operator and was stationed at NORAD in Colorado Springs. After leaving the Air Force in 1997, Charlie took a contact position with the Air Force as a computer systems administrator at F. E. Warren Air Force Base and relocated to Cheyenne, Wyoming where he met the love of his life, Renee Pettinato.

Charlie moved to Denver in 2000 to further his career as an IT professional. He worked for several companies including Cheap Tickets, Empower, Ping Identity and most recently, Ring Central.

Charlie and Renee were married on September 6, 2003, at St. Mary's Cathedral in Cheyenne. He loved being a father to Sofia, helping her with her homework, watching her play sports, and spending time with her. Charlie always had a Dad joke ready at dinner time and many evenings defeated Sofia and Renee in a game of Clue or Disney Trivia.

Charlie enjoyed riding his motorcycle in the mountains of Colorado, watching football and going to NASCAR races whenever possible. Charlie had many close friends with whom he had many grand adventures. Charlie loved to cook, barbeque and smoke ribs for family and friends. He loved traveling with Renee, taking Sofia to Disney World and returning home to North Carolina to be with his family.

Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Mosley and his grandparents Frank and Louetta Mosley and Joe and Joyce Franklin. Charlie is survived by his wife Renee and daughter Sofia; his father Charles Mosley, Sr.; brother-in-law Russ (Judy) Pettinato; sister-in-laws Rhonda Pettinato Dudis (John), Kelly Monohan Pettinato (Rod, deceased); numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in North Carolina, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
