Charles Wayne Krizmanich, 82, - “Charley” or “Chuck” to those close to him passed away on October 24, 2021. He was born August 31, 1939 to George Louis Krizmanich and Josephine Marie Guerrieri. Charles grew up in Crested Butte, and graduated from Crested Butte High School in 1957. He was an outstanding football player and received a scholarship to Oklahoma State University. He raised his family in Gunnison with his wife Myrna Hainer where he ran a service station with his parents and owned a trucking company. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and team roping with friends and children. In addition he was a big sports fan and loved the Denver Broncos. He moved to Eastern Colorado in the early 1980s where he was the owner of a successful towing company. Charles made numerous friends and alway had time to visit or have coffee to start his day. He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he met. He would help anyone without regard to himself. Charles was happiest when he could get away and go traveling and camping with his wife Kathy and close friends that were also family. Every year he looked forward to spending hunting season with his sons in Crested Butte and visiting family and old friends. Charles is survived by his 2nd wife of 24 years, Kathy Smith: His Daughter Charla Farris (Zane) of Silt Colorado; His son Eugene of Montrose, Colorado; Grandsons Tyler Farris and Dustin Farris; Grand Daughters Jamie Medina, Ashley Krizmanich and Kenzie Krizmanich; and Great-grandchildren Saige Farris and Odessa Farris; and several nephews Charles is preceded in death by his parents, his oldest son Colemon Krizmanich and his sister Georgia McDaniel. A Memorial service will be held on November 13 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229 Visitation will begin at 10 am and the service at 11, followed
