It is with deep sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Charles (Chuck) Fay on Jan. 18, 2026 at the age of 64 in Seattle while visiting family.
Born on June 16, 1961 in St. Paul, Minn., Chuck was the beloved first son of Jack and Bea Fay. He was raised in the Twin Cities with his brothers, Stephen and Daryl. His love for Minnesota was deeply rooted in his soul and Chuck exemplified the meaning of “Minnesota nice.” It gave him great happiness to cheer for his Minnesota teams and share memories of growing up in the Land of 10,000 Lakes.
After Chuck graduated from Park High School in Cottage Grove, Minn., he attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and graduated with a BS in Business. He went on to earn an MBA from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul. He built a successful career with Oracle, Deloitte and Cognizant as an IT consultant which allowed him to travel and make an impact among his many clients and colleagues. Chuck touched the lives of many with his profound sense of humor, warmth, intellect, love of music, and kind nature.
Above all, Chuck was a dedicated husband to Sarah, his loving wife of 27 years, and a devoted father to Bethany and Brianna. Being a “girl dad” was the joy of his life and he proudly supported his girls in school, athletics, and most recently as they were beginning their young adult and professional careers. His wisdom, love, faith, and generosity will live on through his family and all who were blessed to know him. He was a man whose passion was unwavering for the people and beliefs he held dear to his heart.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Sarah and their daughters, Bethany and Brianna of Arvada, Colo., and his brother, Daryl (Kelly) Fay of Prescott, Wisc. He was also the deeply loved brother-in-law of Richard (Diana) Kobs of Tampa; Greg (Nancy) Kobs of Alamo, Calif.; and Steve (Kay) Kobs of Frisco, Tex. He leaves behind aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. With the promise of God’s perfect embrace, Chuck has been welcomed to heaven by his parents, Jack and Bea Fay, as well as his brother, Stephen.
