Charles "Butch" David Woodard

Charles "Butch" David Woodard, a dedicated business owner and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, at his residence in Thornton, Colorado. Born on June 23, 1958, Charles was a tireless worker who managed various projects simultaneously, demonstrating a remarkable work ethic throughout his lifetime.

Charles was known not only for his commitment to his business ventures but also for his devotion to his family and friends. He cherished spending quality time with his loved ones, often enjoying memorable vacations to Mexico that created lasting bonds and joyful experiences. His social nature was evident in the many hours he spent at the Silver Bullet Saloon, a place where his presence brought comfort and camaraderie to those around him. When he wasn’t working or socializing, Charles could often be found on the golf course, a favorite retreat where he found relaxation and pleasure.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lawanda K. Woodard, and their sons: Jeremy Woodard of Ohio, Jeramie Nihiser of Colorado, and Josh Nihiser of New Mexico. Charles was a proud grandfather to five grandchildren and an adoring great-grandfather to thirteen great-grandchildren, all of whom carry forward his legacy of warmth and dedication.

Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Charlene Watson Woodard, and his brother, Jimmy Woodard, whose memories remain deeply cherished.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Kains Silver Bullet Saloon, located at 3734 East 120th Avenue in Thornton, Colorado. This gathering will provide family, friends, and all who knew Charles an opportunity to honor his memory and celebrate the rich life he lived.
