Carolyn Sue Riddell

Carolyn Sue Riddell was peacefully called home to the angels on July 22nd in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.

Born on May 27, 1938, in Denver, Colorado, Carolyn was the beloved daughter of the late Oliver Kellow Bussard and Betty Louise Guess.

Carolyn’s greatest joy in life was her family. A devoted mother, grandmother, and “Grandma Great,” she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She is survived by her five sons: Kevin Woertman (Paula), Kent Riddell (Julie), Kyle Riddell, and Kory Riddell (Mandy); her daughter-in-law, Sandy Riddell; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kurt Riddell.

Carolyn enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in the medical field, working in billing and insurance at St. Anthony Hospital until her retirement. Outside of work, she loved going on cruises, cheering at the racetrack, capturing memories through photography and scrapbooking, and staying connected with friends through monthly luncheons with her high school classmates.

A memorial service to celebrate Carolyn’s life will be held on Tuesday, August 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003.
