Carolyn Diana Johnson was born in Lexington Nebraska on November 20, 1945 to Clarence and Bessie Johnson.

She passed away peacefully in the hospital with her son and sister by her side. Carolyn grew up in Nebraska and lived there until 1966 when she married Denis Bluel and moved to Texas while he served his time in the army after being drafted. They moved to Denver, Colorado and raised two wonderful children, Jarrod {Susan} of Kearney, Nebraska and Melissa of Lakewood. Carolyn had a long career in elementary education first as a substitute teacher then as a Library Media Specialist after getting her Masters degree. She loved baking and cooking, entertaining her friends, watching the Broncos and Rockies and traveling all over the world in her lifetime. She is survived by her children and five grandchildren, Carey of Omaha, Nebraska; Hannah of Arvada; Kristian {Luis}, Kaleb and Hunter of Kearney, Nebraska; sister Barbara of Arvada; and two brothers Terry {Gwen} of Ogallala, Nebraska and Scott {Deb} of Casa Grande, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Doug Johnson of Houston, Texas. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday October 24, 2024, Ft. Logan Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave Denver, Colorado 80236. Lunch will be served at 11:30 am at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, Colorado 80227.
