Carol Vendegna

Carol Ann Vendegna passed away early in the morning on October 19, 2021. She was 83 years old, born June 7, 1938 in Colorado Springs, CO to Ira John and Marjorie Peavy. She had a younger sister Barbara Jean. Carol loved and took care of her sister. Carol graduated from Arvada High School in 1956, where she met the love of her life Angelo Vendegna. They were married on January 26, 1957. Carol and Angelo had three children Michael, Lisa and Adrianne. Carol was a loving wife and mother. She loved to read, dance, sing, cook, sew, paint, and go camping. Carol also loved animals, especially dogs. She was preceded in death by her husband Angelo; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marleen and Donald Meyers. She is survived by her sister Barbara Peavy; her son Michael Vendegna and his wife Nancy; her daughter Lisa Cottingham and her husband Paul; her daughter Adrianne Haugen and her husband Lee; her grandchildren Nicholas Vendegna, Christian Vendegna, Elizabeth Powell and her husband George, Alexander Cottingham, Rachel Cottingham, and Annie Cottingham; her great-granddaughter Madison Powell; her niece Gina Meyers; her nephew Dan Meyers and his husband Alex Berg; along with many other beloved family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Carol’s memory to The Alzheimer’s Association.
