Carol Louise (Serfozo) Drury

Carol Drury, 89, died peacefully on October 30, 2026, in Lakewood, CO. Carol was born in Denver on March 6, 1937. Her parents, Anton A. Serfozo and Dorothy E. (Rundle) Serfozo were North Denver residents and Carol attended St. Catherine of Siena School, Skinner Jr. High School, and North High School. While working at the Rialto Theater in Denver, Carol met Bruce Drury a corporal in the U.S. Air Force. They married in 1952 and after four children, they divorced in 1964. Carol later married and divorced Leslie Keith Benson and afterward married Thomas Gomez who died in 1991.

Carol was District Operations Coordinator and administrative assistant for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. After retiring in 2000, Carol enjoyed her RV and her many international travels with Elderhostel and Road Scholar. Carol was a parishioner at St. Jude Catholic Church in Lakewood and enjoyed plying the bells at the church. Sadly, Carol suffered a stroke in 2016 and lost the ability to speak as well as the use of her right arm. Carol lived the remainder of her life in assisted care with grace and dignity making the best of her circumstances.

Carol is survived by her brother, Edward Serfozo and her daughter Lynn Buchanon, Denver, her sons, Robert Drury (Terry), Grand Junction, Michael Drury, Lakewood, and David Drury, San Jose, CA, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on November 23rd, 11:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, 3101 S Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood followed by burial at 12:00 noon at Crown Hill Cemetery, 7777 W. 29th Ave, Wheat Ridge.
