Carol, 76, of Johnstown, Colorado, formally of Centennial, Colorado, entered eternal life on April 9, 2015. Carol was born and raised in Iowa and met her future husband during high school. Carol attended college later in life and taught Home Economics (""Life Management"") at the High School level, most recently at Highlands Ranch High School. Sewing has always been one of Carol's passions, therefore teaching such was very natural for her. Her students and colleagues praised her talent in many ways. Carol was also a woman of faith, attending the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod wherever she resided. Carol was also very active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML), volunteering and attending conference. Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Leon. Carol is survived by her children, Chad (Angie) Otto, Rick (Lisa) Otto, and Tricia (Chad) Music; five grandchildren, Calvin, Isaac, Reed, Marianne, and Libby; siblings, James Hill, David Hill, Dianne Lyons, and Duane Hill; extended family; and her church and LWML friends. Memorial Services honoring Carol's life will be Monday, April 20, 2015, beginning at 11 AM, at Faith Lutheran Church, 3999 West South 1st Street, in Johnstown, Colorado. (Take exit 252 for Johnstown, off of I-25 Northbound. Travel 1 mile east of 1-25 and the church is on your left.) Graveside Service will be on Thursday, June 18, 2015, beginning at 10 AM, at Diamond Cemetery, in Aurelia, Iowa. A reception for family and friends will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 501 Locust Street, in Aurelia, Iowa.
