Carol ""Jean"" Houkom passed away February 2, 2015 in Centennial, Colorado. Jean was born in 1925 in Wild Rose Wisconsin. She was married for sixty-eight years to Leif Houkom, who was at her side when she died. Jean was a consummate mother and homemaker. She was a loving mother of three children, and a wonderful grandmother and great grandmother who had a way of making each child and grandchild feel special. Jean's faith was strong. She passed that on to her children, and taught them to walk with God. God blessed Jean with the voice of an angel, and she brought joy to many when she would perform at church. She was always willing to give of her time to volunteer at church and at any other organization that she could assist. She had a humble and selfless heart, and always had a kind word for others. The best word that could be used to describe Jean is ""loving"". She had an abundance of love in her heart for the Lord, her family and others, and that was evident whenever you were in her presence. Jean will truly be missed by all of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Leif, her children, Nancy and Leif, and ten grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her son, John, and daughter Susan.
