Carla Joy Pearson

Carla Joy Pearson, 37, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 6, 2014. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on November 19, 1976 to Connie and Boyd Adams. Her family moved to the Puget Sound area of Washington state, where she was raised with her younger sister, Christy. Carla went to Auburn High School and graduated with honors. She attended Portland Bible College in Portland, Oregon, and married Ben Pearson at The City Church in Kirkland, Washington on May 14, 1999. Carla and Ben welcomed their daughter, Olivia Hazel Grace, home in 2010. Carla had a passion for cooking and entertaining. She started her blog, Give Me Lemons, in May 2013 and shared her passion with the world through her writing and recipes. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 6:30pm at The Pearl Church in Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Carla Pearson Memorial Fund to aid in Olivia's future.
