It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that our beloved son, brother, and friend, Bryan Beard, passed away suddenly on December 21, 2025, from a heart attack.
Bryan was one of a kind—his infectious charisma drew people in instantly, and his sharp but playful humor could light up any room and make anyone laugh. He had a loyal heart and a gift for making lifelong friends wherever he went. He truly cared, often checking in after a long day just to say hi and see how someone was doing. That was Bryan.
With an incredible memory and deep passion for sports, he started a career in sports radio. Many remember him on “The Drive” at 104.3 The Fan, working alongside Big Al, DMac, and Kyle “Straw-Berry” as board op and associate producer, bringing his humor, knowledge, and quick wit to the show.
His love for the Denver Nuggets ran deep. He started attending games with his mom as a kid, later became a ball boy, and as he got older, made memorable surprise appearances with Rocky—hitting backward shots from half court while seated, or playfully pretending to be OKC fans during playoffs. He was also a founding member of the Denver Nuggets Average Joes Dancers, proudly entertaining Nuggets crowds for the past several years. Bryan & The Joe’s even performed at the 2024 NBA All-Star Games in Indianapolis. They are that good.
He also loved the other Denver and Colorado professional teams, the Broncos & the Colorado Avalanche, but the Colorado Rockies held a very special place in his heart. He was a true fan of theirs and loved them through their ups and downs. He has a vast collection of Colorado Rockies hats that is incredibly impressive. He was very proud to show his love and loyalty to that team.
He embraced the fun side of life as a professional competitive eater - once competing with the world’s top eaters at the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island, New York in 2010. He traveled across the country for many years, competing in contests. He has a very tight circle of friends in the competitive eating world.
He had a very adventurous life, but above all, Bryan cherished the people in his world. He had many circles of friends from every chapter who meant everything to him, and he loved them deeply.
Right now, we are clinging to our faith and holding onto God as we navigate this unimaginable grief. We ask for your prayers—for strength, peace amid the pain, and comfort as we say “We will see you later…” to Bryan. Your love, support, and prayers mean more than words can express.
He will be profoundly missed by his mother, Shelly (David) Fradkin; his siblings, Sarah, Peter (Ellie), and Holly; and his many dear friends who were like family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 2 at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM. A celebration of Bryan’s life will follow. Interment at Littleton Cemetery. Memorial donations suggested to the GoFundMe account for Bryan “Big Sexy” Beard.
Bryan’s light, laughter, and loyalty will live on in every heart he touched.
We love you, Bryan.
