Bruce William Shafer

Survived by wife of 25 years Beth Shafer; children Clark Robert, Sara Ann, Kevin John; and sister Barbara. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Laura Shafer. Bruce was a member of Phi Gamma Delta while attending Penn State University, graduating in 1985 with a BA in Foreign Affairs and International Business. Bruce received his series 7 and joined Shearson Lehman Bros. to follow his passion as a CFA. He owned Shafer Capitol Management. Bruce was an avid skier, golfer, enjoyed the Colorado outdoors and spending time with his family. Public visitation Wednesday, October 15, 2014, 5:00-7:00 PM, Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd., Centennial, CO 80122. Funeral Mass Thursday, October 16, 2014, 11:00 AM, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec St., Centennial, CO 80122. A reception will follow at the Shafer family home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Regis Jesuit High School Counseling Department, 6400 S. Lewiston Way, Aurora, CO 80016.
