Brooks Elise Walker

Brooks Elise Walker, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away unexpectedly on September 14, 2026, in Denver, Colorado.

Daughter of Eben Walker and Patty Brooks Walker, Brooks was born on January 28, 1990 and grew up in Riverside, part of a happy posse of her brothers and neighborhood friends. She attended Riverside School and Greenwich Country Day School for elementary and middle school. Brooks was a figure skater and sailor in elementary school, and later sailed competitively at Riverside Yacht Club, Greenwich High School and Georgetown University. After college, she worked in finance and then in software sales. She loved the process of creating new customers, and she viewed her clients as friends.

Brooks loved life and threw herself into every experience, whether skiing and hiking in the Colorado mountains, taking cold plunges in the Rhode Island ocean or traveling at every opportunity; her suitcase was always half packed, and she made friends everywhere she went. 

In her quieter moments, Brooks tended her Colorado garden, worked on her oil painting, and had a deep appreciation for music of every genre. She loved singing, especially Gospel music; her way of connecting with God. Brooks had a big and generous heart, and she delighted in finding the perfect gift and in celebrating the people in her life. She had a lot of spirit, a great sense of humor, and an enduring love of strawberry ice cream.

Brooks will be missed forever by her parents, her brother Colin (Diah), her brother Andrew (Nathalia), her nephews, her uncles, aunts and cousins, and her beloved dogs, Scout and Brady.A memorial service will be held in her honor at a future date.In lieu of flowers, please donate to Guiding Eyes for the Blind (GuidingEyes.org) , or the charity of your choice.
