Bradley Lewis Walden, age 74, of Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026, at Presbyterian/St Lukes Hospital.

He was born on September 24, 1951, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Carleton (“Pope”) and Harry C. Walden. Brad grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota where he graduated from high school. He then attended the University of Minnesota earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Brad married Linda Neumann in 1976, and together they had two daughters, Kimberly and Jennifer.

Brad later married Juanita (“Nita”) Walden in 2008 She was his devoted and loving wife, friend, and partner until his passing.

Brad was known for his dry sense of humor and his love of family, friends, travel, and music. As a student at the University of Minnesota, he played drums in the marching band. Throughout his life, he continued to share his musical talents, playing with several bands and serving on church worship teams. He was especially proud to be “Pops” to his grandchildren.

Brad worked as a computer programmer for several large companies and later as a database engineer at Lockheed Martin, where he spent many years before retiring in 2023.

For the past 17 years, Brad faced significant health challenges with remarkable strength, determination, and resilience. He met each obstacle with courage and an unwavering spirit that inspired those who knew and loved him.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Nita Walden; his daughters, Kimberly (Matt) Jenkins, and Jennifer Walden (Ryan Wolfrum); grandsons Reid Champion, Simon Champion, and Dante Wolfrum; his bonus granddaughter, Evelyn Jenkins; his bonus grandson, Syler Jenkins; his brother Greg (Jo) Walden; his sister Bev (Todd) Dockter; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Brad’s life will be held in Denver at a later date. Horan & McConaty Funeral Service assisted the family with cremation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the National Kidney Foundation.
