Brad Lorentz

Brad Francis Lorentz, 66, of Denver, Colorado, passed away August 12, 2021. He was born January 13, 1955, in Minnesota to Michael Raymond and Elizabeth Ruth Carkhuff Lorentz.

Brad was the second youngest in a family of eight children. He grew up on a dairy farm so was well acquainted with milking cows and planting and harvesting crops. While attending Eagle Bend Public school in Eagle Bend, Minnesota, Brad enjoyed hunting and playing football. While in High School, he began working for a farm equipment dealer and quickly learned everything there was to learn about combines, tractors and farming equipment.

In his adopted home of Colorado, Brad pursued his love of horses and hunting and also began his work of erecting steel buildings. He loved being a cowboy and was always seen wearing his cowboy boots and hat.

Brad is survived by his wife, Diosa; son, Michael (Kaitlin) Lorentz; and grandson, Stetson; sisters, Michele (Charlie) DeBlieck, Manchester, IA; Pat Kirikiti, Austin, TX; and Becky (John) Walker, Ottertail, MN; brothers, George (Linda) Lorentz, Frazee, MN; Joe (Susan) Lorentz, Eagle Bend, MN; and Gabe (Grace) Lorentz, Helena, MN; sister-in-law, Pat Lorentz, Wadena, MN; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Brad was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Craig Lorentz; and a brother, Danny Lorentz.

A Funeral Mass for Brad will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday August 17, 2021 at All Saints Catholic Church, 2559 South Federal Blvd., Denver, Colorado  80219. All are invited to join the family for a reception in the Church Hall, immediately following the Mass.
