Bonnie Lee Mueller, age 82, passed away on April 29, 2023, at her home in Littleton, Colorado. She was the loving wife of William Mueller and together they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Bonnie was born in Freeport, Illinois on September 10, 1940, in the same small town where she met her Bill in Junior High School. She was the daughter of Morrell and June Plager, also of Freeport. She graduated from Freeport High School, where she was a cheerleader and a lifeguard at the city pool, and then graduated from Illinois Wesleyan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, where she was a cheerleader and a proud member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She pursued her love of art throughout her life, teaching art in public school in Wisconsin, becoming part owner of Chatfield Frameworks & Gallery, a small business in Littleton. She loved cross stitching samplers, and oil and watercolor painting.
Bonnie and Bill have four children, Tim (Tracy), Brian, Kevin (Heidi), and Traci (David); and was blessed with nine grandchildren, Kali, Max, and Joe; Sydney and Brendan; Mikaela and Zsa Zsa; Bode and Dean.
Bonnie patiently supported chasing her husband's career around the country, from Wisconsin to Colorado, Georgia, Missouri, and back to Colorado.
In addition to being an artist Bonnie was a classically trained pianist. She was active in supporting a Colorado Kappa chapter and enjoyed playing bridge with her sorority sisters and a neighborhood bridge club.
Bonnie was a devout Christian and participated in several bible study groups and was instrumental in instilling a strong faith in her children. After retirement, she loved travelling with Bill in their motor home around the US and Canada and wintering in Arizona.
A celebration of Bonnie's life will be held on May 18, 2023, 11:00 a.m., Foothills Bible Church, 6100 S. Devinney Way, Littleton, CO 80127.
Memorial contributions in Bonnie's name can be made to the American Cancer Society or Foothills Bible Church.
