BONITA GAY (née Coleman) HAYMAN, 75, formerly of St. Louis, Missouri, was received into the arms of God on December 3, 2025, with her loving husband, Larry Hayman, and her stepsons, Bryan Hayman and Greg Hayman, by her side.

She was the beloved daughter of George and Mildred (Rickhoff) Coleman, Sr., and the sister of Jim (Paula) Badger and George (Sally) Coleman, Jr. She was mother-in-law to Amy Robertson and grandmother to Nathaniel Hayman and Jade Hayman.

She is also lovingly remembered by her nieces Becky (Mark) Neil, Beth (Jerry) Lis, Amanda Perry, Danielle (Anthony) Tackett, and Widelande Coleman; her nephews Luke (Beth) Coleman and Estevenson (Preslee) Coleman; her great-nieces Allison Leven, Noelle, Selma, and Laurel Perry, Camille Tackett, and Iris and Romee Coleman; her great-nephews Ryan Leven, Adam Tackett, and Wesley and Porter Coleman; and by many dear friends and colleagues.

Bonita was born on August 2, 1950, in St. Louis County, Missouri, where she was raised and graduated from Hazelwood High School, proudly playing the flute in the marching band. She went on to earn both a B.S. and an M.A.T. from Washington University in St. Louis. She then began her career as a mathematics teacher at Parkway North High School in St. Louis County, where she taught until her retirement. After retiring, she and her husband moved to Colorado.

During her life, Bonita was a Girl Scout, a candy striper, an avid quilter, a lover of photography, and a devoted Methodist. Bonita belonged to Bellefontaine Methodist Church, Kirkwood United Methodist Church, and then Arvada United Methodist Church. She loved to travel—visiting parts of Europe, Mexico, nearly all the provinces of Canada, and all 50 United States. She also cherished camping and hiking in the great outdoors.

A memorial service will be held at Arvada United Methodist Church in Arvada, Colorado on December 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m, Mountain Time. The service will also be live-streamed. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
