Robert William (Bill) Rockwood

July 11, 1940 – April 30, 2026

Surrounded by family, Bill Rockwood peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Parker Adventist Hospital. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Bill was a committed husband of 65 years to Elizabeth (Betty) Rockwood (Thilges), caring father to Kathryn (Kitty) Rockwood, Ron Rockwood (deceased), David Rockwood (Joelle Lipski-Rockwood), Dean Rockwood and Jerry Rockwood (Kristen Glinsky Rockwood), proud grandfather to Aiden and Ryan Rockwood (Nashville, TN) and to Jordan and Ashleigh Rockwood (Aurora, CO).

Bill was raised in Wesley, Iowa. His strong ties to Iowa never waivered, even after he and Betty decided to move to Colorado in 1972 to raise their five children. He was a quiet man who didn’t talk much, but always listened, and was ready with a quick comment or story to add when he was ready. He made a lasting impact on his family and on those who met him, and his memory will be cherished.

The family is grateful to the doctors and nurses at Parker Adventist Hospital, who provided him with comfort and dignity during his short stay.

In keeping with his wishes, there will not be a formal funeral, but a private celebration of life will follow in the near future.
