Beverly Ann Palmer, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend passed away on September 24th, 2024. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by family.
Born on January 16, 1951 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas to Patsy and Harry Hanna Sr. She attended Border Star Elementary, Center South Junior High, Center High School, where she was on the Drill Team, and University of Missouri Kansas City for a semester.
Bev met Gery Palmer at Center High School in 1966. The two graduated in 1969 and married in 1970. Gery was the love of her life and best friend.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gery, their children Andrea (Mike) Bradley and Brian (Jocelyn) Palmer, her brothers, Harry (Janet) Hanna Jr, John (Angie) Deming, and sister, Julie (Steve) Fleischman, her sister-in-law Sherry (Terry) Viles, and brother-in-law Randy (Debbie) Palmer. As well as many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Bev’s favorite thing in the world was being grandma/mimi to her four grandchildren. Bethany (17) and Taylor (15) Bradley, and Brady (14) and Chase (13) Palmer. She loved watching their activities and hearing about all of their fun adventures.
Bev was a huge sports fan and an advocate for student-athletes and organizer of the coaches and Athletic Directors at Heritage High School as the Athletic Department Administrative Assistant until she retired in 2012.
Bev was a talented quilter, seamstress, knitter, scrapbooking and greeting card artist. She was known for her baby hats and taggies, felted slippers, and personalized quilts. Her creations will be cherished.
Bev loved the ocean and mountains. Her favorite places were the beaches of California, Breckenridge and Echo Lake, Colorado, and Grand Cayman. Some of her favorite travel memories were from the trips she went on with Gery through Shelter Insurance. They met lifelong friends on these trips.
Thank you to everyone who has shown Bev and Gery love over the years. Bev loved all of her groups of amazing people. She enjoyed zooming with her Center High School friends, playing Bunco in the neighborhood, quilt groups, P.E.O. International, Heritage High School colleagues, coaches, and friends, March Madness boys, DCPA nights, and lifelong friends from Kansas City - Go Chiefs, KU - Rock Chalk, and Shelter Insurance. She loved you all so much, thank you for keeping her life rich and fulfilling.
We will miss her smile, humor, love, laughter, and most of all her friendship.
