Beverly Ann Buck

Beverly Ann Buck, daughter of James Marcus Buck and Wanda Mae (Davis) Buck, was born July 3, 1950 in Ames, Iowa and  from this life Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Peak Gardens in Lakewood, Colorado at the age of 73.

Beverly graduated from Ames High School in 1969. She attended West Mar College in Le Mars, Iowa for a couple of years, taking classes in elementary education.  She then went to Boone Jr. Collage in Boone, Iowa for the LPN training that they offered.  Following that she attended Des Moines Area Community College in Ankeny, Iowa receiving a clerical degree.

Beverly worked several jobs in the Ames area before moving to Denver, Colorado in 1982 to be closer to her brother and his wife.  In 1983, she began working at the Geological Survey at the Federal Center in Lakewood, Colorado.  Still working at the Federal Center, she was transferred to the Yucca Mountain Project which located nuclear deposists on a national basis. Beverley utilized her clerical skills.  In 1995, she has an auto accident due to failing eyesight and shortly there after sold her car.  She retired in 1995.

Beverley was quite sociable. She had numerous friends. She was quite involved with church activities and even walked to church from her condo.  She enjoyed signing and loved the companionship of her dog, Snuggles. She particularly enjoyed her relationship with her twin sister, Barbara who lived in Iowa.  She maintained a close relationship with Chuck since 1986.  Despite declining eyesight, Beverly maintained independence for a long time.

Those relatives who preceded  Beverly in death were her parents, aunts and uncles and her sister Barbara. Beverly leaves her brother, Jim and his wife Marilyn, plus friends from several states.  

Her final resting place will be at Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames, Iowa.
