Betty Schwab

September 27, 1934 — March 19, 2022

Betty Lou Schwab
September 27, 1934 – March 19, 2022
Betty (McCulley) Schwab of Denver, Colorado passed away on March 19, 2022 at the age of 87.

Betty is survived by her children and their families: Debbie (Schwab) Bandimere, husband John (Sporty) Bandimere III; children Bri Bandimere Herman, husband Josh, Ashlie (Bandimere) Pennington, husband Preston and John (Scooter) Bandimere IV; Ken Schwab and wife Angela and their children, Michael, Ava and Sarah. Betty is also survived by one brother, Don McCulley and wife Jan; one brother-in-law Albert Dreitz; and a multitude of extended family and friends.

Betty was born in Minnesota but settled in Colorado where she graduated from North High School and attended Rockmont College. Betty met the love of her life, Walt Schwab, at Bethel Baptist church and they were married on September 26, 1964. Betty had a variety of jobs, but her favorite was a teacher’s aide at the elementary level. She really enjoyed working with kids.

Betty enjoyed going to church, camping, square-dancing, Elvis Presley, playing games, especially dominos and UNO, doing puzzles, spending time with her grandkids and family. Betty is best known for kidding around with everyone and being ornery. Betty never met a stranger, she would talk to anyone. Betty loved watching baseball and the Colorado Rockies, so it’s not a surprise that her favorite color is purple.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Camp Id-Ra-Ha-Je in her memory. PO Box 360 – Bailey, CO  80421.

A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:00 am at Southwest Community Church, 4001 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Littleton, CO. Betty’s body will be laid to rest privately with her husband of 51 years at Ft Logan Cemetery.
