She was working as a nurse in Akron, Ohio when she met the love of her life, John M., ""Jack"" Van Pelt. He had pneumonia and she was his nurse. She supported The Denver of Museum of Nature and Science, The Denver Art Museum and The British Air and Space Museum. She bowled for many years at Broadway Bowl and was, for many years, league president. She loved to read, to travel and spend time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Jack and her son: Jim and Tammy Van Pelt of Grand Junction, Colorado and their sons, Dylan, Sam and Teague Van Pelt. Her daughter, Sharon and Kirk Parker of Englewood, Colorado and Sharon's children: Nick Alley and his wife, Claudia, Staci Alley and her fiancée, Krys Pérez, Daughter Jan Buntrock and her husband, Jim of Littleton, Daughter Ginger Glodowske and her husband, Kai-Uwe and their children, Randy and Megan, also of Littleton and her sister, Helen Eckert.
