Betty Mae Henry of Franktown, passed away peacefully at home on Jan 18th at the age of 96.
She was born in Haxtun on Jan 30, 1927 to Charles and Esther Evans.
Betty was a Colorado native and a Business Owner. She ran a family business, The Craftsman Painters (established in 1935) with her son, Dan, and her grandchildren. In 1985, Betty was the founder and president of “The Exchangers”, a group of women business owners who incorporated with the Business Womens Resource Network Inc. She also made contributions to the Aurora Chamber of Commerce committees of Governmental Affairs, The Aurora Republican Forum and “The Entrepreneur” which highlighted Aurora small business owners.
She is survived by a Daughter Cathy Miller (Ted) of Aurora, and a Son Daniel Henry (Dawn) of Franktown. She was a loving Grandmother to Jonathon Miller of Aurora, Jennifer Livsey (Chris) of Aurora, Kayla Henry of Centennial, Sarah Henry of Castle Rock, and Andrew Henry (Megan) of Castle Rock. She was also a Great-Grandmother to Josiah Henry of Castle Rock.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society or The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
