Betty Jane Foster
Betty Jane Foster, age 96, passed away and into the loving arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on June 27, 2026. She was a lifelong resident of Englewood, Colorado and lived her entire life within 5 miles of where she was raised. She married Harold Foster on November 25th, 1950.
Betty is survived by her 4 children; Steve Foster (Joni), Michael Foster (Susan), Greg Foster (Lexie), Nancy Barker (Dan), 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents Charles & Clara Cox, and her siblings Dorothy and Charlie.
Betty worked as a secretary before she had children and then after most of her children were raised, she finished her career at Arapahoe County Motor Vehicle. In between those jobs she was an amazing mother and homemaker. She was very involved in her kids’ activities and supportive of Harold as he provided for the family.
She was greatly involved in multiple philanthropic and social groups in the Englewood area. She was a graduate of Englewood High School and stayed in contact with many of her friends from school. She also served on the many reunion committees they had ending with their 70th reunion in 2017. She was a 70-year member of her ESA sorority group, volunteered at Swedish Medical Center and with Senior Friends (H2U). She and Harold enjoyed camping with family, friends, and their camping club. They were also longtime members of South Fellowship Church in Littleton.
Many of her loved ones and friends will remember her great gift of hospitality and their amazing backyard gatherings. Betty loved gardening and birding with Harold, and they were great lovers of the Colorado Mountains.
The family will gather for a celebration of life later this summer. We want to acknowledge and thank those of you who were involved in Betty’s life. We will miss her greatly but are so overjoyed that she is now with her Lord Jesus!
