Bethany Ruth McGee

January 25, 1979 — December 9, 2025

Centennial, CO

Bethany Ruth McGee, born January 25, 1979, in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away on December 9th, 2025 in Centennial, Colorado, surrounded by her loved ones.

Bethany spent most of her young life in the San Jose, California area and later lived in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Mateo, California. She then resided in Sandy, Utah before settling in Centennial, Colorado. Everywhere she lived, she carried with her a warmth and presence that made others feel at home.

Bethany found joy in the simple, meaningful parts of life. She loved to draw, read, watch movies and television, and spend time with the people she cherished most. She lit up when surrounded by close friends and family, and her favorite moments were those spent laughing with her daughters. Being a mother to Emma and Lily was the center and joy of her life. Whenever she spoke of her girls, her eyes sparkled and her whole face softened with pride and love.

Bethany had a special gift for connecting with children. She found deep fulfillment working as a para-educator at Timberline Preschool, where her compassion, patience, and bright smile made a lasting impact. Children, parents, and coworkers were drawn to her gentle spirit and steady kindness.

A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Bethany served faithfully, especially in roles supporting young women and children. Her faith guided her, strengthened her, and shaped the way she loved others.

Bethany is survived by her loving husband, Nathan McGee, and her beloved daughters, Emma and Lily. She is also survived by her many siblings: Andrea Scott, Edward Haws, David Haws, Maria Townsend, Sarah Scoffield, Kathryn Gardner, Gayla Quitner, Nathan Haws, Esther Jensen, Steven Haws, Jacob Haws, Jessica Christensen, Joseph Haws, and Daniel Haws, along with extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

Bethany will be remembered for her loyal and loving heart, her sense of humor, her warmth, and her joyful smile. Her life was a fervent, constant offering of love — especially to those she held closest.

Service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building located at 5175 S Picadilly St, Aurora, CO 80015, on Friday, December 19th, 2025, starting at 10:00 am. Her family wants to express their gratitude and love for all the support they have received from friends, family, and the community.
