Beth Ann Harmon Ramsey

Beth Ann Harmon Ramsey, 79, of Evergreen CO went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

Born in Portland IN on August 20, 1947 to Carl A. Harmon and Joy Arn Harmon, Beth also lived in Ohio, Wisconsin, Texas, and Michigan before moving to Evergreen in 2003. She is the beloved wife of Stephen P. Ramsey, whom she married in Columbia City, IN on August 9, 1969. They truly cherished their 57 years together. Beth and Steve have two children, Kathleen (Toby) Dogwiler of Springfield MO, and Jonathan (Robyn) Ramsey of Evergreen CO. Katie and Jon were the delight of Beth’s life as were her three grandchildren, Nyah Dogwiler, Annikah Ramsey, and Beckett Ramsey. There is nothing Beth wouldn’t do to help any of them. She always made their time together fun and memorable. Her greatest joy was witnessing the growth and happiness of her children and grandchildren. Words cannot express how much her husband, children, and grandchildren will miss her.

Beth’s nurturing of her family came naturally to her. She was exceedingly kind and generous, a consummate caregiver. She followed her childhood dream of becoming a nurse, graduating as an RN from Parkview School of Nursing in 1968. She also earned a BSN from the University of Michigan and an MSN from Grand Valley State University. Following 20 years as an Emergency Room Nurse and Trauma Coordinator at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids MI, Beth became a Nurse Practitioner in Geriatrics for the remainder of her career. She retired at age 70 after fifty years of nursing.

To know Beth was to know a creative, adventurous person who loved to read, shop, hike, camp, travel, take photographs, and more. She was the quintessential organizer whose thoughtfulness made everyone’s life easier and whose upbeat presence made any occasion happier.

At the time of her death, Beth was a member of Bergen Park Church, Evergreen, and the Rotary Club of Conifer where she was the Community Service Chair.

In addition to her immediate family, Beth will be immensely missed by her sisters, Margie (Larry) Osborn of Suttons Bay MI and Patricia (Kevin) Brockway of Dowagiac MI, many nieces and nephews, and her Golden Retriever, Molly.

Her family will gather at a later date to remember and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Beth may make a donation in her memory to the Conifer Rotary Foundation (PO Box 1430, Conifer CO 80433), or to a charity of their choice.
