Bernice A. Nelson

Bernice A. Nelson, 95, of Aurora, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Bernice was born on September 2, 1922 to the late Arthur and Margaret Swis. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 33 years, and during that time served her country as a nurse in the Army during WWII for 2 years. Bernice met Jennings Nelson in the Army and they later married. She is survived by her children: 4 daughters, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and her husband, she is predeceased by her son. A burial with military honors will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 10:30AM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S Sheridan Blvd. Denver, CO 80236.
