Bernard "Bernie" George Moore

Bernard "Bernie" George Moore, age 87, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.

Bernie was the eldest of two sons born to Maurice Francis Moore and Jeanette Cora Hemnes Moore. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, a cherished uncle, and a loyal friend.

Born and raised in Colorado, Bernie graduated from North High School before serving proudly in the U.S. Navy and moved to California. Following active duty, he returned home to marry the love of his life, Patricia O’Hare Moore. Together, they shared nearly 64 wonderful years of marriage.

Bernie was a proud father to four children: Paul, Beth, Julie, and Dan, and a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. He welcomed his children’s spouses, Sarah, Kim, Scot, and Chuck, into the family with warmth and affection. Bernie built a legacy rooted in integrity, laughter, and unwavering support. He approached life with humility and kindness, offering guidance without judgment and love without limits.

As a husband, Bernie was steadfast and devoted. As a father and grandfather, he was the quiet hero behind every milestone, offering gentle advice, encouragement, and a smile that could calm any storm. His nieces and nephews will remember his humor, his stories, and the way he made each of them feel valued. Friends, both lifelong and new, knew Bernie as someone who showed up, listened, and stayed connected through every season of life.

Bernie is preceded in death by his parents, his younger brother, and his beloved brother-in-law, Tom. We find comfort in knowing he is reunited with them now. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely.

Though Bernie will be deeply missed, we take solace in knowing he lived a full, meaningful life and left the world better than he found it. May eternal rest be granted unto Bernie, and may perpetual light shine upon him.
