Bernadette Agnes (Sundem) Schmidt of Lakewood passed away on December 19, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Dean Schmidt, and daughter, Jacque Schmidt.
Bernadette was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Dorothy Sundem, and her sister, Barbara Frasier.
She was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on January 6, 1947 and grew up in McCook, Nebraska. Bernadette then moved to Lakewood, Colorado where she resided for over 55 years.
Bernadette worked for the Federal Government and also as a homemaker.
She loved gardening and swimming.
Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023, 12:30pm, Notre Dame Catholic Church, 2190 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver. Interment will follow at 2:30pm, Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area B.
