Beatrice Wammack was born in Kentucky in 1928. The middle daughter of 3, Beatrice was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend.
Bea lived in Kentucky, Ohio, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. She often looked back with joy on the summer she lived on a floating home in Sausalito, California, or traveled with her husband, Ralph Wammack in a VW van.
Bea kept busy with her eye for fashion, avidly reading biographies and nonfiction, volunteering in the library and working a daily crossword. Previously she received a certificate in Fashion Merchandising and worked in ladies dress shops helping others look their best. She enjoyed befriending new people and was proud to be invited to be an ambassador to help welcome new residents at Harvard Square Retirement.
Bea is survived by family daughters Terri Wammack, Shelley Wendt (Al); granddaughter Kimberly Wendt (Phillip Bernal); nieces and nephews Richard Rice (Deborah Griffith), Tim Rice (Candi), David Rice (Jill) deceased, Sherry Hastings, Danny Long, and their extended families.
Bea lived the last five years at Shalom Park Nursing Home in Aurora, Colorado where she received exemplary care and support. Bea passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023 at 95. In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to Shalom Park: https://www.shalompark.org/give
