Bea Croteau

Benita Joy Croteau passed away peacefully in her home on July 26, 2016. ""Bea"" was born August 29, 1939 on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota to Benjamin and Richenda (Whirlwind Soldier) La Pointe. She grew up in Rosebud, SD then moved to Denver, CO in 1957 where she met the love of her life Francis Croteau. They married on June 3, 1959, sharing 57 years together. Bea is also survived by her children Lynn, Cris, Valerie, Dean, and Anne; grandchildren Troy, Alyse & Michael, Ben, Ashley, Geoffrey, Cassie, Tyler, Josh, Lakota, and Cienna; great-grandchildren Maicie, Gionni, Zendaya, Olivia, and Octavia. Bea touched many lives during her long life. Her friendly engaging manner, quick wit, radiant smile and the unconditional love that she showered on everyone will be missed by all who knew her. A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 beginning at 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado. A Visitation will held on Saturday, August 6 beginning at 10:00 AM with the Funeral Mass beginning at 11:00 am both at Saint Mark Catholic Church, 3141 West 96th Avenue, Westminster, Colorado. A Memorial Lunch will be hosted by the Fraternal Order of Eagles – Northwest #4019, 8800 Federal Blvd., Federal Heights, CO following Mass.
