Our dearest Barbara Faye Monroe went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on Saturday, April 25th. A devout Christian, Barbara was also a wife, mother and grandmother who is survived by her husband Scott, their sons Sean (deceased), Kirk (wife Michelle) and daughter Kym (husband Aaron). Barbara is also survived by her Grandchildren Jessica, Brian, Janae, Connor, Wyatt, Dylan, Dawsun, Kendall, Wade, Gunnar and Great Grandchild Paisley Jo.

Barbara, a Texan through & through, was the daughter of Oscar and Bula Mangum; sister of Charles Mangum. Oscar and Bula raised Barbara and Charles in Houston, Texas and spent many family trips to their ranch in Dryden, Texas.

Barbara met her husband Scott during summer school in Boulder, Colorado. Scott & Barbara raised their family in numerous cities across the northern United States, often returning to their lake home in northern Wisconsin (Clintonville). Barbara was a grade-school teacher until making the decision to put family first and become an amazing stay-at-home mom. Barbara also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Baylor University. Barbara enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends. Barbara had an infectious smile and a warm & welcoming spirit, that positively impacted all of those she encountered. Barbara's fun & spunky personality were just a few of her traits, that made her a joy to be around.

At Barbara's request, her ashes will be spread by the pond of the family's Wisconsin home in the coming months. Those closest to Barbara take comfort in knowing that she is resting peacefully in Heaven and is waiting patiently for her family to join her one day.
