Annette and Steve (Tappe), Sheila and Glen (Seifert), Axel and Pam (Johnson), Chris and Brad (Brack), Beth and Mark (Naylor), Marla and Kevin (Kiley) Maureen and Scott (Dreman) and Art Johnson. Axel attended various Denver schools and graduated from East High School in 1953. He joined the Marine Corps and served during the Korean War. He went to a technical college in California, then worked at IBM. After leaving IBM, he served as a police officer in the Denver Metro Area. In 1956, he started working at Beckman Instruments, where he retired after 28 years. After his retirement, he became an active member of the community, developed an avid interest in electronics and computers, and was the biggest fan of his grandchildren (Amanda, Aubry, Austin, Bailey, Brittany, Clayton, Dane, Dillon, Emma, Gil, Isabel, Jack, Jenny, Jes, Joe, Jordan, Kaitlyn, Karl, Kirsten, Lauren, Michael, Molly, Morgan, Nick, Riley, Ryan, Taylor, and Tyler) in their sports, activities and musical events. He loved singing, playing the accordion and acting in shows with the Seniors 88, the Barbershop quartets and the Heather Gardens Frolics. He will be missed by all. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to Colorado Right to Life.
